Bedbugs are very tiny insects. When full-grown, they are about the size of an apple seed. You can tell a bedbug that has just eaten by its color. Ones that are empty are brown, but if they have just eaten they have a reddish tint to their brown skin.

As anyone who has been bitten can attest, bed bug bites are very unpleasant. Most people who have suffered bites from bed bugs never realized these vicious little insects were hiding in their beds and feeding on their blood.

Bed bug bites can vary in size and shape, they can be three small welts or they can leave a large number of welts wherever they bite. Depending on how an individual reacts to the bite, there may be redness present at the site of the bite.
