Modern Vanities Are Made A Certain Way For A Reason
Are modern vanities to your liking? Given the choice, would you rather keep your older vanities or have them repaired, instead of buying these new vanities, with their simplified designs? It seems that not everyone is satisfied by the look of these vanities, especially if they live in traditional houses. To some of them, it may be a matter of style, while for others, it's the sense of familiarity they have with older looking things.
In cases like these, you may prefer to buy traditionally styled modern vanities instead. Vanities are still being made in traditional designs or patterned after them. But these have been brought up to date to accommodate modern sensibilities and building materials. If all you want to do is to keep the look of traditional vanities, you won't see the difference.
However, these older style vanities are also significantly pricier. For most people, these vanities may not be cheap enough, or not cost-effective enough. Modern vanities are designed to be cost-effective, and are overall easier to install, use and maintain. As a result, some people can not shirk from buying new vanities, whether they like it to or not.
In situations like this, they still are not content with getting a contemporary vanity. These vanities might fit in with the bathroom and home they live in, but they may not think that these vanities are attractive. Some of them may not want to give in to change. However, their concerns should not be taken for granted.
If you choose not to get a contemporary vanity, that's alright. But remember that you would be missing out on better designed vanities. These vanities leave a smaller carbon footprint, as well as being more resistant to fire, termites, flooding and other hazards. Overall, they are created to last longer, so in that sense, they are superior to older vanities.
You can certainly find contemporary bathroom cabinets that will fit in a traditional bathroom. It just requires a lot of patience and some imagination. You will want cabinets in colors and designs that duplicate the look of wood or stone, even if they are not actually made of these materials. When considering a cabinet, imagine it is already installed in your bathroom. Then you can determine if you like how it looks in there, and if it will match the rest of the house.
