Can This Marriage Be Saved - Commitment And Understanding
In the past a marriage was to last until death separated those who had been joined in the holy ritual of matrimony. Marriage used to actually have a meaning beyond the desire of spending some time with a person and people grew old together...for better or for worse. The can this marriage be saved question did not exist; no one went around asking how to save your marriage or how to make your spouse fall back in love with you.
It's sad when people have to wonder, "Can this marriage be saved?" Unfortunately, too many of these people got married because they were in lust. They weren't really in love, and once they're married they often start wondering if they ever even liked their spouse. The result is a plethora of very troubled marriages which have created a very lucrative business for the therapists, psychologists, and counselors who specialize in trying to save marriages. These relationship professionals will tell couples a resounding YES when asked if their marriage can be saved.
Can this marriage be saved? Yes! Make the effort to work it out - don't give up at the first difficulty or the first problematic situation. An easy and effective thing to do is just to walk away momentarily, take a deep breath and come to each situation with a clear perspective on it. Be calm; marriage really is a two-way street. You have to learn to make some compromises if you want it to work. No one can get everything they want; remember too that each one of you has the same worth.
Saving marriages has even become huge business; there are counselors, therapists, support networks and all sorts of services to help work through problems and differences newly weds might encounter. There are people who can help bring stability and understanding back into a relationship that might be otherwise doomed to failure.
To save a marriage is to help society become a clearer place. Saving a marriage is saving a child from becoming torn into two, is saving a child the conflict of having to choose which parent is nicer, whose house is better, who he or she likes the most. A kid from a divorced household is more likely to become a single parent, a kid from a single parent household is more likely to mimic the same lifestyle and also be a single parent.
Marriage needs to be seen as what it used to be, a sacred union between two people who have bowed to share their lives through the good times and the bad times. Marriage is not a game one can quit when gets bored...or it shouldn't be anyway. Can this marriage be saved? It can be, make sure you are aware of the commitment your undertaking and having the self stem and confidence to make it work.
Used to be, in the old days, that marriages lasted forever; "'till death do us part" actually had a binding meaning and people grew old together...for better or for worse no one went around asking can this marriage be saved. Seems like those days are over, marriages last less and less everyday and people often find themselves asking how to save my marriage? One way to save a marriage is to work it out. Negotiation is very important while working out problems. Marriage counselors help married couples work through their problems and differences. Even though they may seem expensive, they are well worth it if they can help save your marriage.
